Fifty years earlier, Inuyasha and Kikyou had gone to the mysterious island of Hourai to visit a group of half youkai children. There they were attacked by the Four War Gods and during the fight, the gods used Kikyou's blood to create a fake Kikyou and marked Inuyasha with a scar in his back. Now, fifty years later, one of the children, Ai managed to escape and asks Inuyasha to return to Horai and rescue the rest of her friends. Inuyasha, Kagome and friends must travel to the island and destroy the evil gods.
