Amaryllis sat alone in her atrium waiting for the day to go by. For too long she felt tired and disillusioned. She wished to find something good. Something to remind her that there was still beauty in the world. She had sought solace. Not even her three sisters could comfort her now. Was there no decency? No Kindness? Had humanity finally managed to destroy both? Her sisters, as much as she loved them, were as ruthless as anyone else. They were completely indifferent to the pleadings and suffering of anyone not related to them.

Amaryllis couldn’t remember the last time she had cried or laughed. She was numb now. And if she were capable of it, that would make her weep. Her thoughts were soon interrupted from the sound of nearing footsteps. As she turned to face the visitor, she saw the mighty God Zeus standing at the entrance.

“To what do I owe the honor?” Amaryllis asked.
“I have a job for you, dearest,” Zeus said.
Amaryllis made a pain-filled face. “I thought we agreed that I could take some time off. There are other judges.”
Zeus let out a disgusted retort. “I don’t trust them. They’re bleeding hearts who are just as likely to find him innocent as guilty. I need a hard-nosed, impartial judge who can’t be swayed from doing what’s right and necessary. I need you.”
His tone made the hairs on Amaryllis’s neck rise. His mighty roar could make the bravest man cower at his feet. Amaryllis sighed. “How long do I have to stay?” she asked.
“You have two weeks,” Zeus granted. “If it takes you less time, so be it. But at the end of the fortnight, one way or another, Severin’s fate will be sealed by your hand.”

ooc: Idk how well i’ll play Lachesis, but I’ll try my best, I’m not very good with mythology and such.

Lachesis took her time as she was measured all the strings, their was nothing better to do, so she decided to do double checks to make sure everyone was still in align. After the twenty string she decided however to go walk around and view some of the human world from above.

The scars on his thumb were nothing new, and neither was the blood dripping from a new wound thanks to a knife he had just sharpened earlier. Placing the crimson-stained finger into his mouth, he looked down at his newest creation; something that looked ordinary from the rest of the wooden figurines laying about the place. Often he would create people, animals (often birds), buildings that he’s seen at some point in life, but this, this was completely different. Severin himself hadn’t even been quite sure what was, but to him it deserved a special place on the wall where he could look at it daily.

“You deserve a name, don’t you my love?” he said speaking to new member to his family; the opaque figurine now sitting on a shelf Severin build in years past. Though the piece pleased him, he didn’t smile, that was an ability long lost with the years. “How about Thesius. Yes, that name suits you. Your name shall now be Thesius.”

Amaryllis would’ve happily sat in her atrium, in complete silence, reading the same book she had already read a million times. But now she was to her knees in the harsh snow of Alaska. She could sense a snow storm making way. Cursing, she summoned her Charonte. “Nix, help me find some shelter before the storm hits and buries us,” she asked with a slight hint of irritation that only the most heightened ears could pick up on. Looking around, there wasn’t but one shed in this entire deserted area. No one lived out here but the demi-god himself, Severin.

Acting fast, Nix swooped up behind Amaryllis and caught her on her back. His shed was several miles from where they were located but at a Charonte’s speed they’d get there in less than a minute. Here was the first test: Would he be kind enough to allow a complete stranger in his house and out of the bitter cold? Amaryllis felt around for the wooden door and knocked two times. Now she awaited an answer.
